DO I NEED A COLLEGE DIPLOMA TO BECOME A CERTIFIED GRIEF COACH?
No. All you need is compassion and empathy.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE COURSES?
You have as long as it takes! You move at your own pace.
ARE THERE AGE REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL GRIEF COACH?
You must be at least 18 years of age but there is no maximum age.
DO I HAVE TO BE AN US CITIZEN TO ENROLL IN YOUR PROGRAMS AND BECOME A CERTIFIED GRIEF COACH?
No you do not need to be a US Citizen. We warmly welcome international students.
WHEN CAN I START WORKING WITH CLIENTS?
You can begin working with clients as soon as you receive your Certification from us. If you are interested in launching your own Coaching Business, we recommend our Grief Coaching Business Certification. This covers everything you need to know to start and run your own business from home with very little investment.
OVER THE YEARS, I HAVE COMPLETED MANY SEMINARS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES RELATED TO GRIEF COUNSELING. WILL THESE APPLY TOWARD THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION?
It is good that you have participated in other grief education, but because we cannot guarantee the quality or depth and breadth of the programs you have studied with, we cannot apply outside programs to our certifications and maintain our accreditation.

Our Grief Coaching Business Certification program answers everything you need to know about getting paying clients. It offers a Master Business Toolkit cover start-up needs, branding yourself, legal issues, marketing, public relations, financing and budgeting, and scores of important documents.
WHAT ARE THE QUALITIES NEEDED TO BECOME A GRIEF COACH?
Empathy. Good Listening Skills. Patience. Many Grief Coaches have experienced their own personal losses which uniquely qualifies us to understand the bereavement process as no formal education can.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GRIEF COUNSELOR, GRIEF THERAPIST AND A GRIEF COACH?
A Grief Counselor or Therapist must have a college degree and often a masters degree as well. A Grief Coach does not have to meet specific educational requirements although training is very important and necessary.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECOVER FROM THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE?
Studies show that people suffer 5 - 8 YEARS on average if they just wait. We believe that is too long. We can recover faster with support from a Certified Grief Coach.
DO I NEED AN OFFICE TO BECOME A GRIEF COACH?
No. It is helpful to have a desk or space in your home but even that is not necessary. With all of the online tools available, you can operate your Grief Coaching business from your computer or even your phone.
WHAT IS THE GOALÂ OF GRIEF COACHING?
The goal of Grief Coaching is to come alongside the bereaved person during their mourning. The Grief Coach listens with patience and kindness. The Grief Coach understands how important it is to be present with the mourner in a non-judgmental, relaxed manner. Grieving is a natural process of living and does not always require the expense of a Counselor or Therapist. Grieving people need to be assured that they can survive their losses. A great Grief Coach nurtures, inspires and loves through their client's recovery.

You are under no obligation to do anything. If you decide to disenroll within the first 7 days and have not logged into your courses, you will receive a full refund. Tuition is not refundable if you have logged into any of your courses or if 7 days have passed since you enrolled.
